Making product adoption visible
Built the first adoption analytics system for an enterprise product, found that many enterprise customers weren’t using it, and prototyped AI agents that cut PM busywork.
- Role
- Product Management Intern, Product Analytics & AI
- Timeline
- Jun 2026 – Present
- Team
- Universal Asset Insights (UAI) product team, 2 engineers
- Tools
- Gainsight PX, Salesforce, Jira, Glean agents, Claude Code / Skills
Outcome
48%
of enterprise customers had zero sessions over 16 days
38
custom events instrumented
3
dashboards with P1/P2/P3 signal tiers
<15 min
daily transcript processing, down from 2–3 hours
- Surfaced that 48% of 436 enterprise customers had zero product sessions over 16 days.
- The findings let the product team identify and engage a high-value customer that was quietly reducing its managed assets.
The problem
Universal Asset Insights is used across 436 enterprise accounts, but the product team couldn’t see what customers actually did in it.
The active-user metric was page views, which says little about real adoption, so at-risk accounts went unnoticed.
My role
I own the analytics instrumentation initiative: defining what “active” means, writing event specs, shipping dashboards, and coordinating engineers through QA.
I delivered Phase 1 and now lead Phase 2.
Process
-
Redefine “active”
Replaced page views with a 2+ core action threshold (filter, asset detail, export) so the metric reflects real use.
-
Instrument the product
Instrumented 38 Gainsight PX custom events and authored specs for 16 custom events, with user flows and acceptance criteria for engineering.
-
Fix the data before trusting it
Cross-referenced 513 accounts against Salesforce, excluded 141 internal accounts, and repaired 4,350 miscategorized records caused by an identity bug.
-
Ship in sprints
Delivered Phase 1 to production in 2-week sprints, coordinating 2 engineers through QA. Now leading Phase 2 with 15 active stories across 6 instrumentation sections.
-
Evaluate the platform
Beyond building, I evaluated whether the analytics platform fit the team’s long-term needs and delivered a recommendation.
-
Prototype AI for PMs
Built an AI Meeting Notes Manager and Roadmap Tracker for the Atlas Command Center using a four-agent Glean pipeline and Claude Skills, replacing fragmented per-team planning with one roadmap across product teams.
